Ana Benalcazar
Goals and motivations
Her profound commitment to sustainable development, social justice, and collective intelligence, particularly championing the rights of children, adolescents, and women, has driven her to actively engage in a myriad of urban, educational, and environmental intervention projects across both urban and rural landscapes. These initiatives have left a lasting impact at both local and international levels. Driven by her vision to empower communities as the primary agents in mapping, collective design, and decision-making processes, she founded and now spearheads the "Itinerant Laboratory of Tactical Urbanism - LIUTs." This initiative reflects her dedication to fostering community-led initiatives and sustainable urban solutions. Currently, she is at the forefront of leading the organization "Aprendizaje en Movimiento," which embodies a sustainable development and conservation educational model, framed within an outdoor school perspective. In this role, she continues to channel her passion for fostering positive change and creating a more inclusive, sustainable future.
